While researching a new question I added to What’s That Song<\/cite><\/a> tonight, I came across a long related comment thread<\/a> on dollarshort.org<\/a>. The domain name kind of rang a bell when I found it, but I was so happy to find more answers on the page that I didn’t think much more about it. While I was reading through the comments I came across the name Mena<\/cite>; it’s not a common name, but I wasn’t really surprised to find a post from one of the Movable Type<\/cite><\/a> developers on a weblog. (Movable Type is the CMS that powers this weblog.) But everything clicked when I actually went to the dollarshort homepage and saw that it’s Mena Trott’s site<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n

Also came across David Janes<\/a> via The Shifted Librarian<\/cite><\/a>. As far as I can tell he’s no relation<\/a> (the only David Janes listed is my uncle); there’s another strain of Janeses in eastern Canada that we’ve never been able to link to, and I’m presuming that he’s one of them from the links to St. John’s sites on his home page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

I’d post some of the lyrics<\/a> to It’s a Small World<\/cite> at this point, but that would probably be illegal<\/a>. Which kind of brings this full circle: Mena’s post<\/a> today references an earlier one<\/a> about The Mouse<\/cite>.<\/p><\/div>
