The face has a clever design created by one of the posters on <a href=\"http:\/\/harlanellison.com\/\">Ellison Webderland<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/harlanellison.com\/heboard\/brdbull.htm\">bulletin board<\/a>; twelve o&#8217;clock features the <cite>smoking e<\/cite>, then the hours are marked with <cite>tick<\/cite>, <cite>tock<\/cite>, <cite>tick<\/cite>, and so forth, until ten o&#8217;clock when they change to a wave pattern reading <cite>mrmee mrmee mrmee<\/cite>.  It&#8217;s cute, and is highly appropriate if you&#8217;ve ever read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/1887424350\/ref=nosim\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/repentharlequin\" alt=\"\" style=\"float:right\" \/><cite><q>Repent, Harlequin!<\/q> Said the Ticktockman<\/cite><\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>I find it more than slightly amusing that the clock has never kept proper time.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"syndication-links\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"My sister gave me a Smoking E Wall Clock for my last birthday.
