Initial contact was made via direct e-mail to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmo.com\/\">Bank of Montreal<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.citizensbank.ca\/\">Citizens Bank of Canada<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ingdirect.ca\/\">ING Direct<\/a>; banks that provide only form-based communication to their customer service departments were immediately ruled out.  The only response I&#8217;ve received so far is an automated one from the Bank of Montreal, who promise that <q>Every effort will be made to respond to your inquiry within 48 hours.<\/q><\/p>\n\n<p>Granted, I sent my queries on the Friday afternoon before a long weekend, but I had hoped for better, particularly from the two banks that offer <em>only<\/em> online service.
