{"id":322,"date":"2004-01-24T01:37:16-05:00","date_gmt":"2004-01-24T09:37:16+00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/peterjanes.ca\/wordpress\/?p=322"},"modified":"2008-04-04T04:05:41-04:00","modified_gmt":"2008-04-04T08:05:41+00:00","slug":"dear-kristin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peterjanes.ca\/blog\/2004\/01\/24\/dear-kristin\/","title":{"rendered":"Dear&nbsp;Kristin"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='e-content'><blockquote title=\"Peter J.\"><p>Dear <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kristinsweetland.com\/\">Kristin<\/a>,<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>It was a pleasure to meet you briefly tonight, and doubly special that the occasion wasn&#8217;t the (deserved!) ass-kicking in a dark alley you promised after I <a href=\"http:\/\/peterjanes.ca\/blog\/archives\/2003\/07\/23\/janes-addiction\">posted this<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>I&#8217;ve listened to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kristinsweetland.com\/Musicpage.htm\"><cite class=\"title\">Root, Heart &amp; Crown<\/cite><\/a> quite a bit since July&#8212;as seems appropriate, it&#8217;s in the same rotation as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moteldarlene.com\/\"><cite class=\"title\">Motel Darlene<\/cite><\/a>&#8212;but it&#8217;s not the same as actually seeing you perform live.  I think that may have been the reason for my initial reaction&#8230; I wanted the disc to duplicate the festival experience (sans swords, of course).  You&#8217;re a fantastic guitar player, yet somehow that doesn&#8217;t come across on the CD: there it&#8217;s just another part (albeit a good one), but at Home County and again this evening it&#8217;s <em>Kristin Sweetland<\/em> playing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Missed you (and Darlene&#8230; can&#8217;t say enough good about her either) at the do afterwards&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kristinsweetland.com\/Shows3.htm\">next time<\/a>, huh?<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Thanks again for putting on a great show.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/div><div class=\"syndication-links\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dear Kristin, It was a pleasure to meet you briefly tonight, and doubly special that the occasion wasn&#8217;t the (deserved!) ass-kicking in a dark alley you promised after I posted this.
