[<strong>emphasis<\/strong> mine]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Hmm, that <a href=\"http:\/\/peterjanes.ca\/blog\/archives\/2004\/08\/24\/xmdpstyle-robot-profile\">sounds familiar<\/a>.  Why <em>hasn&#8217;t<\/em> some enterprising Googler made use of her\/his <cite class=\"term\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/press\/pressrel\/gmail.html\">20%<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/webhp?complete=1&amp;hl=en\">time<\/a><\/cite> to do something like this?  The idea&#8217;s been around for a while now, not only, and not first, in my post&#8211;in fact, the second quote is from <cite class=\"name\">GoogleGuy<\/cite>.  Seems doubly puzzling given that <q cite=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/googleblog\/2004\/12\/ive-got-suggestion.html\" title=\"I've got a suggestion\">in a matter of months, working on my own, [one is] able to go from a lunch table conversation to launching a new service<\/q>.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"syndication-links\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"I hear those guys at Google are pretty smart, and gots lots of computers.
