The spec says there are six known implementations; one of these is a server for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.movabletype.org\/\">Movable Type<\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kryogenix.org\/days\/000242.cas\">Stuart Langridge<\/a>, but I defy anyone to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kryogenix.org\/code\/\">find it<\/a> on his site.  If it&#8217;s only for private use, I don&#8217;t mind, but in that case why advertise it&#8230; and if it&#8217;s already written, what does <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kryogenix.org\/days\/000308.cas\">this<\/a> mean?<\/p>\n\n<p>(If it sounds like I want something for nothing&#8230; well, I guess I do, although I&#8217;ll provide whatever I can in return in the form of bug reports, patches, etc.  As a friend&#8217;s e-mail signature says, humans are tool users, and I&#8217;m nothing if not human.)<\/p>\n\n<p>Not that it matters, of course&#8211;trackbacks and pingbacks are just a big <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zeldman.com\/daily\/1002a.html#hits\">popularity contest<\/a> anyway, right?<\/p><\/div><div class=\"syndication-links\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ian Hickson has been going on for a while about Pingback.
