{"id":781,"date":"2007-08-16T01:47:39-04:00","date_gmt":"2007-08-16T05:47:39+00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/peterjanes.ca\/blog\/2007\/08\/16\/say-arent-you\/"},"modified":"2007-08-16T02:24:06-04:00","modified_gmt":"2007-08-16T06:24:06+00:00","slug":"say-arent-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peterjanes.ca\/blog\/2007\/08\/16\/say-arent-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Say, aren&#8217;t&nbsp;you&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='e-content'><p class=\"aside\">(This is a post from <a href=\"http:\/\/thestudioreviews.blogspot.com\/\"><cite class=\"title\">The Studio Has a Few Notes<\/cite><\/a>, as are most of the entertainment-related ones from the last few days.)<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Stretching the mandate of <a href=\"http:\/\/thestudioreviews.blogspot.com\/\">the blog<\/a> once again, I&#8217;ve recently met two people who remind me strongly of movie and TV actresses.<\/p><p>First is London singer-songwriter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/karlarexer\">Karla Rexer<\/a>, who I initially (and still) think could be <a href=\"http:\/\/peterjanes.ca\/LenniFan\/rosalita\/\">Rosalita Whyte<\/a>&#8216;s twin.  When I saw her the other night, though, I realized that there&#8217;s another striking similarity, which Matt will appreciate: she&#8217;s got the same <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/gallery\/ss\/0496424\/Ss\/0496424\/8.jpg?path=pgallery&#038;path_key=Fey,%20Tina\">crooked smile<\/a> as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0275486\/\">Tina Fey<\/a>.  (Who, by the way, wrote the script for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0377092\/\"><cite class=\"title\">Mean Girls<\/cite><\/a>, a movie which featured London-born actress <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1046097\/\">Rachel McAdams<\/a>, who I once met walking along Queen Street West in Toronto while I was there to see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lennijabour.com\/\">Lenni<\/a> perform and stupidly didn&#8217;t think to invite to the show.)<\/p><p>(Whew, all the name-dropping and run-on-sentencing has tired me out!)<\/p><p>Second, as I mentioned in an <a href=\"http:\/\/thestudioreviews.blogspot.com\/2007\/08\/dear-harvard.html#comment-7640644842022357372\">earlier comment<\/a>, I met <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/holly_rancher\">Holly Rancher<\/a> this evening.  It doesn&#8217;t quite come out in <a href=\"http:\/\/viewmorepics.myspace.com\/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&amp;friendID=30181271&amp;albumID=0&amp;imageID=12741920\">this picture<\/a>, but she could easily have doubled for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000379\/\">Kirsten Dunst<\/a> in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0145487\/\"><cite class=\"title\">Spider-Man<\/cite><\/a> flicks.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"syndication-links\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"(This is a post from The Studio Has a Few Notes, as are most of the entertainment-related ones from the last few days.)
