Those clever folks at TLC have a good thing going with Trading Spaces. They’ve even got updates on what the homeowners have done to their rooms since.
Perhaps even more interesting, and something a clever programmer at TLC is going to think of in a year or two, is going back to visit the couples. An hour representing two days is a pretty short time to judge, but based on that I’ve got to say that there have been some seriously dysfunctional relationships featured on that show. There have been more than a few very functional friendships
too (nudge nudge).
This concludes today’s foray into the persona of a nosy Parker.
Interesting that you should have written something using the term nosy parker. That fella Chris that I’ve been known to hang out with has a comic strip idea that features a character known as nosy parker and was quite distressed to determine (thanks to the all-knowing internet) that such a character was already trademarked in the UK. *sigh* Seems to me I was just reading another post from 2003 in your weblog that referred to synchronicity?….
Yeah, some of Sting’s lawyers contacted me about that a couple of minutes ago…. *grin*
I want to comment on your designers; some are crackpots (like Hilde); she always shakes her bottom, I don’t know why. I love: Genevieve, Vern, Laurie, (don’t like Doug). The $l00,000 episode was especially not very good: like all the furniture Laurie bought; cluttering the room, she went wild because of all the money at her disposal. Buying $l,000 of music, movies etc.!!!that was a stupid move. The remake of the kitchen was VERY good. I watch with great interest, it is very entertaining. I love Paige, adore Amy-Win, and simply looove Ty. Keep up the good work (with the bad) and please tell your designeers to STOP USING YELLOW PAINT. This colour seems to be the only colour in their minds. I am signing off. LOOVE YOUR SHOW! Annette
