I installed Google Analytics on a site last week. Five days later, after being told multiple times that there will be reports available in twelve hours
and two days after their update saying You should be able to see these updates in 24 hours
the status page for the site says it’s still waiting for data
and the reports are empty.
…the fact that Google is getting into everything means that they run the risk of not doing some things well.
sheesh, I thought it was only me. I still haven’t gotten mine to work, and I’m positively up in arms about the whole thing. I”m about to up and cancel the damn thing.
I have my meta information in an include, so it was quite easy to include on all my pages, but for some reason either google doesn’t like it included or just plain doesn’t see it
I dont’ get it. any suggestions?
Yeah, I have a similar include for the HTML header. Google did identify that the code was there after about 24 hours, but I never got any reports. From what I could see of the always-empty charts I get about the same information out of analog and webalizer anyway, without adding any code or dependencies on external sites.
